The Symphony Orchestra (SO) and String Ensemble recently played at the MSOE Winter Commencement on Saturday, February 25th at 10 am. The String Ensemble started off at 9:30 with 3 Mozart pieces, and then the SO started their prelude music at 9:45. Included pieces were Sleigh Ride (Mozart), Blue Tango (Anderson), and Angelus (Massenet). For processional, the SO played Pomp and Circumstance (Elgar). Finally, for recessional the SO played Bohemian Festival (Massenet).
The annual Winter Commencement is a great way that SMO is put in the ‘public eye’. Thanks to everyone who played! You did great!
